In recent years, retail environments like gas stations, convenience stores, and vape shops have become the primary distribution points for a massive influx of unregulated, highly addictive, and potentially lethal substances.  Marketed under the guise of dietary supplements, herbal enhancers, or "legal high" products, these substances actively evade federal FDA oversight, presenting severe public health risks and complex legal challenges for field officers.

This course is designed to bridge the gap between street-level substance identification, pharmacological awareness, and the aggressive enforcement of state laws governing these unregulated products.  This course delivers practical, field-ready tools to assist investigators with auditing business inventory, reading and interpreting laboratory Certificates of Analysis (COAs) to detect illegal cannabinoid profiles or missing contaminant panels, and proper documentation, photography, and collection of unregulated botanical evidence.
