Mental Health First AID For Public Safety (NTOA)

Course Hours: 6.5 Hours

Course Description

This is a skills-based course that builds mental health literacy, providing an action plan that teaches attendees to safely and responsibly identify and address potential mental health or substance use challenges among first responders.

Training Outcomes

Upon completion of this course the attendee will know how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among first responders.

Prerequisites

Must be a Certified First Responder. (Law Enforcement, Fire Fighter, Corrections, EMS, etc...)

Who Should Attend

Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters, EMS, Corrections and/or any First Responder.

** Payment made directly to NTOA ** prior to start of class You must register with NTOA at http://www.ntoa.org/ and pay class fees. The fees will include a 1-year membership to NTOA. After registering at the NTOA website you must register with GPSTC registration.
