Public Order Command Certification (NTOA)

Course Description
This course is designed for law enforcement personnel who are responsible for the direct management or supervision of Public Order personnel during field operations. Topics will include leadership, professionalism, risk mitigation, de-escalation tactics, decision-making, policy, crowd management theories, planning, legal issues, personal protective equipment, operational considerations and use of force.
Training Outcomes
At the end of this course, law enforcement public order supervisors will be familiar with contemporary public order issues, tactics and procedures.
Prerequisites
Students must be certified and sworn law enforcement officers.
