Patrol Rifle Instructor (Wright Shooting Concepts)

Course Description
This course is designed to enhance the instructing abilities of already-certified POST Firearms Instructors by building their confidence, speed, and efficiency in shooting, while expanding their knowledge with a patrol rifle. Topics covered include: fundamentals of shooting a carbine, ready positions and time standards, driving the carbine, positional shooting and time standards, malfunctions, reloads (tactical vs. emergency), weapon transitions, target transitions, turns and pivots, low light/no light, use of cover barricades/vehicles, shooting in and around vehicles, and ballistic review of a vehicle.

Prerequisites
A Georgia POST Certified Firearms Instructor Certification is required in order to attend this course.

Students materials: Students MUST bring: 1500 rounds of carbine (no green tip) and 200 rounds of pistol ammunition, AR rifle w/ sling, pistol w/ holster, at least three (3) magazines for both the rifle and handgun, magazine carriers for both the rifle and handgun (either on the belt or chest rig), a handheld flashlight or weapon mounted lights, eye and ear protection, and a hat with a brim.
