Less Lethal, FSDD's and Chemical Agents Instructor Certification (NTOA)

Course Hours: 40.0 Hours

Course Description

This is a train-the-trainer course. Topics include, but are not limited to: instructor development techniques, case law, policy issues, technology, delivery systems, deployment of less lethal devices, decontamination, history, tactics and practical applications of all three (3) projectiles/agents/devices.  This course will result in a four (4) year certification to present instruction regarding less lethal munitions, flash sound diversionary devices, and chemical agents for four (4) years. 

Prerequisites

Students must be certified and sworn law enforcement officers in order to attend this training, and have POST General (or Level II) Instructor Certification.

Who Should Attend

Individuals who have been approved as instructors by their agency heads, and have met the POST requirements to instruct the subject matter,, would benefit from this course.
