Gang Awareness for Educators
Course Hours: 2.0 Hours
Course Description
This online course is designed to train educators and school administrators to identify gang prevention strategies and techniques in order to help youth who are exposed to gangs, and provide resources for youth intervention. This course will be an extension of training currently offered at the Georgia Department of Education, and will be structured to comply with House Bill 147, signed by Governor Kemp.
Who Should Attend
This online course is designed for educators, principals, school administrators, and other school staff.
**Please note, POST credit is not offered in this course as the material is not designed for Law Enforcement.
Special Notes
This course satisfies the School Safety and Anti-Gang endorsement requirement for educators set forth by the Professional Standards Commission.
