Fire Investigation: Fire as a Weapon

Course Description

This 2-day course offers a comprehensive introduction to the use of fire as a weapon. It covers the history of arson, the motivations behind intentional firesetting, and the role of firefighters and first responder law enforcement in assisting fire investigators at the scene. The course emphasizes the importance of first responders in fire investigations and includes training on active listening, interviewing techniques, and the recognition, preservation, and collection of potential evidence when absolutely necessary.

Who Should Attend

The target audience for this course is fire and emergency services personnel who respond to fires or who might conduct preliminary investigations into the origin and cause of fires.
