Advanced Patrol Rifle

Course Description
This advanced rifle course is fast-paced, consisting of seven 200-yard courses of fire. Completion of this challenging training will improve the officer's long-range capabilities with a patrol rifle. This is not a basic Patrol Rifle Fundamentals Course. Officers should be confident in their abilities with a patrol rifle prior to enrollment.
Training Outcomes
Prerequisites
Students must be a certified and sworn law enforcement officers, and must have attended a Basic Patrol Rifle course (equivalent to the GPSTC 16 hour Patrol Rifle Fundamentals course), or be a POST Certified Firearms Instructor. This is an advanced level course, and officers must have their agency-issued semi-automatic rifle zeroed before class begins.
Who Should Attend
Officers desiring to improve their accuracy and the speed needed for longer distance shooting with a patrol rifle would benefit from attending this training.
Special Notes
Students should bring a patrol rifle equipped with a sling, two rifle magazines, rifle magazine pouch, duty belt, holster with retention, handgun, 3 handgun magazines, magazine pouch, hearing protection, eye protection, and a hat with a brim. .556 ammunition will be provided for training.
