Course Description

The course is designed for the individual who will manage and provide a leadership role in community risk reduction programs through strategic planning and preparation of education material.  Topics include  community analysis, budget processes, public policy recommendations, communications with leadership, evaluating team performance, requesting resources from external organizations, facilitation of partnerships, measuring learning, developing informational and educational materials, developing lesson plans, designing and revising programs and evaluation and measuring of programs and how to develop the instruments to do so.

Prerequisites

NPQ or State Certified Fire and Life Safety Educator I

The target audience for this course may include, but not limited to the following: ? Fire and Life Safety Educators ? Fire and Life Safety Division managers ? Community risk reduction managers and chiefs

This course is a Coordinator Managed course. Once students are selected they will receive confirmation. Applicants not selected will be invited to apply for a future offering.
