Judgmental Use of Force Simulator Training 2 Hour
Course Hours: 2.0 Hours
Course Description
This course uses an integrated system of video, laser, computer technology and virtual reality systems to place the officer in situations where the officer's judgment will be evaluated. This evaluation will be based on use of force statutes, case law and federal law. Officers will interact in simulated scenarios requiring judgment and decision making regarding the drawing of a weapon and the use of force or verbal de-escalation.
Training Outcomes
Upon successfully completing this training, students will be better prepared to make decisions on the use of force by utilizing tactics and improving decision-making capabilities.
Prerequisites
The student must be a certified and sworn law enforcement officer in order to attend.

Any local, state or federal law enforcement officer would benefit from this training.
Special Notes
While the content of the 4-hour Judgmental Use of Force Simulator Training is consistent with the 2-hour course of the same title, the 4 hour course is designed to accommodate larger classes and/or more repetitions.
