EMS Dispatch Principles and Telephone CPR

Course Hours: 4.0 Hours

Course Description

This course is intended for communications officers of state and local governmental agencies who receive, process, or transmit public safety information and dispatch law enforcement, firefighters, medical or emergency management personnel. Topics include emergency medical telephone answering and dispatch techniques, and telephone CPR procedures.

Prerequisites

Basic Communications Officer Certification. Students must be in good standing with GA POST and eligible to complete training. Additionally, active agency sponsorship is required.

Who Should Attend

This course should be attended by Communications officers of state and local governmental agencies who receive, process, or transmit public safety information and dispatch law enforcement, firefighters, medical or emergency management personnel and are committed to learning effective T-CPR procedures to be performed under the direction of their respective agency head. This course is geared towards those who are not EMD certified and employed by an agency not actively utilizing an EMD program.
