Course Description

**Special Note**  This training is off campus, and will be held at the Piedmont Columbus Midtown Medical Clinic, 710 Center St. Columbus, GA 31901.

This educational symposium will equip law enforcement, prosecutors, and child welfare professionals with the knowledge needed to identify, investigate, and prosecute human trafficking cases in Georgia. Within this, attendees will be able to recognize indicators, signs, and evidence related to human trafficking and understand the basic principles of how to interact with victims and collaborate with partners. Additionally, resources will be highlighted to assist in addressing these problems within their own communities.

This educational symposium will further provide professionals with a comprehensive view of the following topics: 

- Animal Cruelty and Human Trafficking 

- Labor Trafficking: Agriculture and Nonagricultural

- Gangs and Human Trafficking Nexus

- Human Trafficking Data Clearinghouse

- Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children



Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites to attend this training.

Who Should Attend

This training should be attended by law enforcement officers, prosecutors and child welfare professionals who may encounter human trafficking related issues.

Special Notes

***Prosecutors who register for this course may receive a maximum of 12 credit hours.
