Chemical Exposure and Cardiovascular Risk Reduction

Course Description
This 4-hour course will present exposure reduction best practices for implementation on the fireground. Research efforts at IFSI and other institutions have identified numerous best practices for reducing exposure to common fireground contaminants. The focus of the course is on the training exposures, but many of the principles can be applied to real-world scenarios.

Who Should Attend
This course is open to all fire service personnel but is specifically targeted at those who work with training academies and participate in live fire training.
Special Notes
This course is a Direct Delivery from the Underwriters Laboratory (UL) and the Illinois Fire Service Institute in conjunction with the North American Fire Training Directors (NAFTD).
