2023 Force Forum and PIO Summit
Course Hours: 24.0 Hours
Course Description
The Force Forum is a 3-day training conference for public safety professionals and public safety attorneys seeking best practices and cutting-edge research on investigating and defending use of force. The program includes 24 hours of general LE training blocks addressing a variety of topics around the use of force and defending the use of force. During this time, there will also be 8 hours of break-out sessions for Public Information Officers (PIOs). The theme for this year's program is managing politically-motivated prosecutions and discipline.
This Forum is being presented at GPSTC by the Blue Line Lawyer Institute. Founded by Attorney Lance LoRusso, the Blue Line Lawyer Institute is an education hub and think tank for law enforcement professionals and the attorneys who represent them. Their mission is to advance the defense of public safety professionals who use force to defend themselves and keep the public safe.
This training will serve as 24 hours of Executive Training credits for applicable Georgia attendees. (All other attendees will receive 24 hours of standard training credits via GPSTC/POST.) Attendees must be present for 90% of the Forum in order to receive credit.
