Emergency Response Driver Training

Course Description

In response to concerns expressed by both the public and agencies alike, this course has been developed to enhance the driving abilities of Georgia's Law Enforcement Officers. With a strong emphasis on safe emergency driving techniques, the officers will participate in exercises which enhance the driver's skill set, require appropriate decision making during pursuit scenarios, provide the realistic physiological effects on the body, and demonstrate alternative choices in pursuit termination. 

Prerequisites

Prior to registering for this course, applicants must complete one of the following courses: Basic EVOC or LEEVOC Level 1.  In addition, applicants must be current/active law enforcement officials and must possess a valid driver's license.

Who Should Attend

This course should be attended by active law enforcement officers assigned to a position that entails driving an emergency vehicle.
