Course Description
The Gang Resistance Education And Training (G.R.E.A.T.) Program is an evidence-based, national and international gang and violence prevention program designed to build trust between law enforcement and communities. This course is built around school-based, law enforcement officer instructed classroom curricula, providing a continuum of components for children and their families.
Prerequisites
Students attending this training must be employed by a law enforcement agency as an active certified peace officer or its political subdivisions, charged with the duty of enforcing the criminal laws regarding criminal gang activity.
Who Should Attend
Georgia Peace Officer Training Council (GA POST) certified officers and/or out-of-state certified peace officers who are assigned to reduce gang recruitment and membership in their communities.
