Course Description
The Public Safety Background Investigation Course provides students with the foundation and resources to conduct background investigations. Course topics, delivered through both lecture and discussion, include POST requirements, the investigative process, and legal authority.

This course should be attended by experienced investigators assigned as agency representatives responsible for conducting background investigations of law enforcement applicants.
