Course Description
This course is an extension of the
Georgia Public Safety Training Center's (GPSTC) Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training program. This course is designed to equip public safety and school personnel with
skills and techniques needed to effectively communicate with youth in crisis.
Topics in this course include connecting with kids: communication strategies, bullying
awareness, runaways and homeless youth, youth exploitation, gangs and youth, and
LGBTQ+ youth.
Prerequisites
None.
Who Should Attend
Public Safety Personnel, School
Resource Officers, Juvenile Court Personnel and Juvenile Investigators.
