PIT Refresher

Course Description
This is an in-service course designed to provide refresher training to law enforcement officers who have successfully completed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) course. This course provides overviews and updates on current case law and the necessary knowledge and skills to properly perform the Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT).
Prerequisites
Officers wishing to attend must have attended and successfully completed a Precision Immobilization Techniques course.
Who Should Attend
This course is intended for law enforcement officers who are employed by an agency that currently utilizes the PIT maneuver to terminate vehicle pursuits, and who have already been successfully trained in using this technique.
Special Notes
This is not a certification course on the Precision Immobilization Technique. It is an in-service class that will serve as a referesher for skills that have already been trained.
