Course Description

This two-day course empowers the student to facilitate successful integration of a Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) into the overall fire-adapted community initiative and provides the building blocks to develop, implement and sustain a CWPP over the long term.

Successful completion of "Wildland Urban Interface: Fire-Adapted Communities ? Strategies for Developing a Fire-Adapted Community, Course II"

Who Should Attend

The target audience for this course may include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • ·         Fire and emergency service representatives.
  • ·         Community leaders/decision-makers.
  • ·         Commissioners, elected officials, and other local policymakers.
  • ·         Code officials: building, planning, etc.
  • ·         Environmental groups.
  • ·         Land managers and foresters.
  • ·         Other key local stakeholders.
