Communications Center Supervisor Course
Course Hours: 24.0 Hours
Course Description
Perhaps the greatest challenge in preparing supervisors is helping them develop a new point of view that relates the work in front of them to a wider perspective of how their work fits together with the work of everybody else in the agency to move the mission forward. This course, delivered by the APCO Institute, provides supervisory training designed specifically for Communications Center Supervisors and candidates who are moving into supervisory roles. Topics include the role of the communications supervisor, the evolution of the supervisory mindset, skills for supervisory success, the supervisor as a leader, the supervisor as management, and communicating as a supervisor.
