Course Description

The Pistol Mounted Optics Transition Course is an introduction to pistol mounted optics. This is a two day, workshop style course that allows an officer to become more familiar and comfortable with their pistol mounted optic. The course will cover fundamental skills necessary to effectively utilize a pistol mounted optic.

There are no prerequisites.

Who Should Attend

Any law enforcement officer who has been issued or carries a pistol with a red dot optic would benefit from this training.

Special Notes

Officers should bring a semi-auto pistol with mounted optics, an agency-issued duty belt and holster, a magazine pouch, three magazines, ear protection, eye protection, and a hat with a brim. Ammunition will be provided in calibers: 9mm, 40 SW, 45 ACP.
