Pistol Mounted Optics Transition Course

Course Description
The Pistol Mounted Optics Transition Course is an introduction to pistol mounted optics. This is a two day, workshop style course that allows an officer to become more familiar and comfortable with their pistol mounted optic. The course will cover fundamental skills necessary to effectively utilize a pistol mounted optic.
Training Outcomes
At the end of this course, the officer will be more
proficient in drawing, transitioning between targets, and running the pistol
with mounted optics with both hands, thier weapon hand only and their support hand only.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites.
Who Should Attend
Any law enforcement officer who has been issued or carries a pistol with a red dot optic would benefit from this training.
Special Notes
Officers should bring a semi-auto pistol with mounted
optics, an agency-issued duty belt and holster, a magazine pouch, three
magazines, ear protection, eye protection, and a hat with a brim. Ammunition
will be provided in calibers: 9mm, 40 SW, 45 ACP.
