Initial Size-up and Operational Strategy and Tactics
Course Hours: 3.0 Hours
Course Description
This course is designed to assist the first responding
firefighter in understanding the emergency operations functions and
responsibilities while responding to an emergency scene. This program provides
students with vital information for the initial response that includes,
firefighter safety, in route considerations, initial incident size-up, and
basic emergency operational functions. This course will include computer
simulated incident scenarios with discussion.
Prerequisites
Attendees must be a State of Georgia Certified Firefighter a member of a compliant fire department and fit the requirement
defined in O.C.G.A. Title 25-4-2 (6).
Who Should Attend
Firefighters seeking training to maintain and/or enhance
their firefighting and rescue mitigation knowledge and skills.
