Course Hours: 8.0 Hours
Fire Mayday events and Pipeline Emergencies may not be declared often, but the Dispatcher must remain calm and revert to their training within seconds when they are, in order to help protect life and property during these low frequency/high criticality situations. Students will review Fire Mayday scenarios, best practices for emergency dispatchers, and participate in an onsite demonstration provided by Fire Academy staff. Students will also learn to recognize potential pipeline emergencies and how to support public safety personnel who respond to these situations.
