Terrorism: Introduction to Sovereign Citizens

Course Hours: 8.0 Hours

Course Description

This 8-hour course is designed to provide public safety personnel with an understanding of the anti-government Sovereign Citizen movement. The challenges and dangers faced when dealing with these individuals will be discussed, as well as the criminal activities, tactics, and paper terrorism techniques used by sovereigns.

Prerequisites

LAW ENFORCEMENT SENSITIVE. Due to the nature of the course, the following prerequisites must be met: (1) Students must be employed by a local, state or federal public safety agency. (2) Non-law enforcement certified applicants with pending felony charges or convictions are prohibited from attendance. The course coordinator may require production of a criminal history record prior to attendance for non-LEO certified public safety personnel.

Who Should Attend

This course should be attended by public safety personnel who may encounter sovereign citizens during the course of their duties.
