Semi-Automatic Pistol Fundamentals

Course Description

This course is, by design, for the officer who struggles with semi-automatic pistol marksmanship fundamentals. Through repetitive drills in efficient drawing, learning visual centering, controlled pairs, and more the basic skills, students should increase to a more proficient level of performance. Because it is set in a workshop style environment, this course will build an officer's confidence in their abilities as they improve and begin to master the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship.

Prerequisites

To attend this course, students must be certified and sworn law enforcement officers. 

Who Should Attend

This course should be attended by officers who struggle with marksmanship fundamentals. This includes officers who struggle to qualify, or are not confident in their ability to qualify, on a regular basis.   

Special Notes

Officers should bring a semi automatic pistol, duty belt with retention holster and magazine pouch, ear protection, eye protection and a hat with a brim.  Ammunition will be provided in calibers: 9mm, .40 and .45 ACP.
