Fire Origin and Cause Determination for Company Officers

Course Description
This course will provide suppression personnel and entry-level fire investigators with initial training and education on the fire service responder's responsibility in the process of fire investigations.
Training Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to demonstrate the importance of documentation, evidence, collection and scene security, as well as understand and demonstrate the process of documenting fire origin and cause investigations.

None.
Who Should Attend
The target audience for this course is the fire suppression company officer, fire service personnel who desire to obtain further training
in the determination of the fire origin and cause, and fire service personnel
who are preparing for career focus in fire investigations.
Special Notes
This course is online coordinator managed. While no textbook is required, students may want to use IFSTA's Introduction to Fire Origin and Cause, 4th Edition, Fire Protection Publications, 2013.
