Terrorism: Introduction to Jihadist Extremism
Course Hours: 8.0 Hours
Course Description
This 8-hour course is designed to provide officers with an understanding of jihadist extremism. The history, beliefs, and sects of Islam will be discussed to provide an understanding of the normative practices of Islam to aid in the recognition of distorted Islamic teachings propagated by extremists. Extremist groups, as well as their origins, inspirations, and motivations, and incidents will be examined.
Prerequisites
Must be Certified and Sworn Law Enforcement.
Who Should Attend
Certified and sworn state, federal or military law enforcement.

Students need to bring note taking material.
