Course Description
This course is designed to teach officers how to deal with realistic shooting scenarios that include judgment and decision making. The course will include shooting on the move, engaging targets at varying distances and using cover and working in and around vehicles.
Training Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, officers will have achieved an advanced level of handgun fundamental skills and also experience and application of judgment and decision making while running a handgun.
Prerequisites
The officer must be certified and sworn law enforcement and have successfully completed Semi-Automatic Pistol Level 3.
Who Should Attend
Law enforcement officers desiring a challenging pistol course that includes challenging and realistic range exercises.
Special Notes
Officers should bring their service weapon, duty gear, (the holster must be department or agency issue, duty-type (patrol), strong-side directional draw, equipped with a handgun retention device and securely fastened to the gun belt). Ammunition will be provided in 9MM, .40, .45 ACP.
