Advanced Photography and Digital Imaging
Course Hours: 24.0 Hours
Course Description
During this course or instruction, the student will learn methods necessary to properly compose crime scene photographs in a low light setting using a single-lens reflex digital camera. The student will learn to compose evidence quality macro photographs and critical comparison photographs. The student will learn to compose evidence quality photographs using chemical enhancements and alternate light sources. The student will accomplish this by attending lectures and completing practical exercises. Testing includes both performance and cognitive examinations.
Prerequisites
Prior to enrollment the officer must have successfully completed the GPSTC Basic Photography and Digital Imaging course.
Who Should Attend
Public safety professionals who are assigned the complex tasks of photographing evidence or investigative functions should attend.
