Gang Recognition and Identification Training Course

Course Description
This course is designed for law enforcement officers investigating gang-related criminal activity. The topics of instruction will equip officers with skills and knowledge to recognize gang culture, gang paraphernalia, and gang members who participate in criminal activities. This course is a pre-requisite for the Gang Investigation and Prosecution class.

Prerequisites
Students attending this training must be employed by a law enforcement agency as an active certified peace officer of this state or its political subdivisions, charged with the duty of enforcing the criminal laws regarding criminal gang activity.
Who Should Attend
Georgia Peace Officer Training Council (GA POST) certified
officers and/or Georgia Department of Corrections criminal investigators, who
are assigned to criminal investigations involving gang investigations.
Special Notes
Students coming to this course should bring a laptop
computer to view the course materials.
