Course Description
This independent online training course is designed to provide officers with a review of the basics of law enforcement ethics and professionalism. Topics include the canons of police ethics, stakeholders and their expectations, and ethical practices for maintaining professional standards.
Who Should Attend
POST-certified Peace Officers.
Special Notes
This course requires students to complete a final examination. Failure to attain the minimum required score on the final exam will result in a failure of the class. Should the student choose to repeat the course, tuition will be charged at the rate of $15 per credit hour, and must be paid before the student will have access to the course.
This course has been approved by POST as meeting requirements for officer's mandated to attend ethics and professionalism training as part of a sanction. Officers who are required to attend this course at their own expense must contact the Registrar's office prior to registering for the class. The Registrar may be reached at 478-993-4430.
