Mental and Emotional Wellness
Course Hours: 3.0 Hours
Given the stress inherent to the law enforcement profession, it is critical that officers know how to identify and respond to stress in their own lives and the lives of their colleagues. The mental and emotional wellness of first responders has a direct correlation to the level of service those responders are able to provide their communities. This course provides officers with ways to recognize and manage stress. Course topics include types of stress, stress response, causes and symptoms of stress, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and healthy stress management techniques.
Who Should Attend
This course is designed for law enforcement officers; however, public safety personnel from other disciplines may find the information helpful as well.
