FAA/GPSTC Public Safety UAS Integration and Coordination Training Exercise

Course Description

This in-service course will help to develop, assess, and recommend as best practice, the appropriate protocols for the integration of  appropriate Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in a variety of multidisciplinary public safety scenarios for public safety, utility company, and private sector groups working with GEMA in emergency responses.

Who Should Attend

Public safety personnel assigned to, or preparing for assignment with, a sUAS Program along with GEMA personnel, and private sector representatives working with sUAS disaster and emergency response programs.

Special Notes

This course is delivered primarily through the simulation of real-life public safety incident response scenarios. The content will be delivered through discussion, pre-incident briefing, the use of practical application scenarios,  and post-incident debriefing,  for the purposes of joint/collaborative development of best practices-based policies, protocols, and procedures for the safe and efficient coordination and integration of Unmanned Aircraft Systems in a variety of multidisciplinary public safety events.
