Who Should Attend: POST-certified Law Enforcement Officers.

In an effort to establish and maintain Police Legitimacy, through the practice of Procedural Justice and positively impact Community Relations, this course will provide students with an understanding of the concepts of Police Legitimacy, and how the tactics of Procedural Justice can be applied. Course topics include Principles of Police Legitimacy and Procedural Justice, Pillars of Perception, Establishing Police Legitimacy, Lawfulness and Legitimacy, the Benefits of Police Legitimacy, and the Nobility of Policing. Students will view presentations, videos and complete a series of activities. Applicants who complete this online module will receive two (2) hours of POST training credit.

Special Notes: Failure to attain the minimum required score will result in a failure of the class. Should the student choose to repeat the course, tuition will be charged at the rate of $15 per credit hour. Tuition must be paid before the student will have access to the course.
