Who Should Attend: This course is designed for law enforcement officers who have direct contact with the public.

Prerequisite: Students must be employed by a local, state, or federal agency.

This course is designed to provide the student with the latest theories in verbal communication and situational de-escalation techniques. Topics of instruction include a review of the legal considerations for use of force situations and basic concepts of verbal defense and influence. This course provides extensive scenario-based training that allows students an ample opportunity to employ the techniques taught.

Special Notes: Student must bring duty gear (minus firearm, ammo, OC Spray, Baton, TASER), comfortable clothes, sunscreen, and water bottle.
