Firearms Instructor Refresher

Course Description
This course is designed to enhance the skills of current firearms instructors and to promote uniformity among firearms instructors. Instruction includes a marksmanship fundamentals review, target analysis, liabilities review and challenging range exercises.

Prerequisites
Applicants must be Georgia POST Firearms Instructor certified.
Who Should Attend
Georgia POST Certified Firearms Instructors will benefit from this training.
Special Notes
Officers are required to have a semi-auto pistol, duty belt with agency-issued duty holster with retention, magazine pouch, three magazines, patrol rifle (zeroed at 50 yards or 100 yards), three patrol rifle magazines, ear protection, eye protection, and a hat with a brim. Ammunition will be provided in calibers: 9mm, 40 SW, 45ACP, and .223.
