Latent Print Examiner Recertification

Course Description

This course is designed for students who have already attained their Latent Print Examiner Certification and need to submit their third-party competency test results for recertification purposes. Georgia POST rules require students to submit their current test results every two years to maintain certification. Georgia POST Rule 464-13-.19 Latent Print Examiner Certification. Each person applying for Latent Print Examiner Certification must: (1) Complete the required core courses as prescribed by the Council within 36 month of the start date of the first required course; (2) Currently assigned to Latent Print Examiner duties; (3) Complete the initial latent proficiency test from an ISO/IEC 17043 accredited provider; and (4) Maintain an administrative file documenting completion of required biannual latent proficiency tests.

Prerequisites

The student must have received their Latent Print Examiner Certification and must have recertified every two years thereafter.
