Tactics for Courthouse Violence
Course Hours: 16.0 Hours
This course is for law enforcement officers assigned to courthouse security. During recent years violence has increased inside and outside courthouses within the United States. Our courthouses are only as safe as the skill level and mindset of the officers that protect it. The course includes classroom and practical hands on training. Students will learn how to perform physically under stress during violent encounters against the officer, citizens, and employees at the courthouse. The officers must be well prepared mentally and physically to deal with any type of violent situation. They must be confident with their abilities and have a solid working knowledge of what actions and tactics they can use to protect and secure the courthouse and those in it.
