Tactical Sub-Machine Gun
Course Hours: 32.0 Hours
This course is intended for officer's issued select fire sub-machine guns and are assigned to their departmental tactical team. Topics include safety and legal issues, as well as operational concerns specific to the officer's weapon, mechanical functioning concepts for implementation of shooting fundamentals, loading, and immediate action. Practical exercises will include semi-automatic marksmanship, fully automatic burst control, and engagement of moving and steel reactionary targets. Ammunition in 9 MM, .40, and .45 will be furnished.
At the end of the course, the officer should possess weapon handling skills in the areas of semi automatic fire, full automatic fire, multiple targets, reloads, and how to properly clear malfunctions.
Must be Certified or Sworn Law Enforcement issued a select fire sub-machine gun. On the first day of class, officers will be required to produce a letter from their agency confirming their assignment to a departmental SRT or SWAT team.
Who Should Attend
Federal, State, or local Law Enforcement and military personnel that are issued select-fire sub-machine guns during tour of duty.
Officers should bring their issued sub-machine gun, sidearm, magazine pouches for both, along with eye protection, ear protection, and a hat with a brim. Center fire rifle calibers prohibited.
