Tactical Submachine Gun

Course Description

This course is intended for personnel issued select fire submachine guns and are assigned to their departmental tactical team. Topics include safety and legal issues, as well as operational concerns specific to the user's weapon, mechanical functioning concepts for implementation of shooting fundamentals, loading, and immediate action. Practical exercises will include semi-automatic marksmanship, fully automatic burst control, and engagement of moving and steel reactionary targets. Ammunition in 9 MM, .40, and .45 will be furnished.

Prerequisites

Must be Certified or Sworn Law Enforcement issued a select fire submachine gun. On the first day of class, students will be required to produce a letter from their agency confirming their assignment to a departmental S.R.T. or SWAT team.

Who Should Attend

Federal, State, or local Law Enforcement and military personnel that are issued select-fire submachine guns during tour of duty.

Special Notes

Students should bring their issued submachine gun and sidearm. Center fire rifle calibers are prohibited.
