Course Description
This course is designed to train active law enforcement and public safety officials in the basic driving techniques applicable to emergency vehicle operations. Students will receive training on the legal aspects and civil liability of operating a public safety vehicle, and maintaining a defensive driving perspective. They will also learn and apply skills to enhance skid control, braking techniques, and precision driving.
Prerequisites
Students must be current/active law enforcement or public safety officials and must possess a valid driver's license.
Who Should Attend
This course should be attended by certified law enforcement officers or public safety officials who seek to improve their ability to operate an emergency vehicle safely, and with due regard.
