Basic Law Enforcement Training Course
Course Hours: 408.0 Hours
Course Description
The 408-hour basic course satisfies the requirement of OCGA 35-8-1 that a candidate complete the mandated course of instruction to be eligible for certification. Applications must be submitted to POST no later than two weeks before the course begins.
Prerequisites
Students will be confirmed into this class prior to the start date. POST Council no longer issues hard copies of the POSTFORM-2 (P2). Instead, an electronic P2 number will be issued. Students will not be accepted to the course unless a P2 code has been issued prior to the first day of class.
Special Notes
All part-time basic students must attend orientation on the first day of class. Please reserve your seats as early as possible to insure space and supply needs are met.
