Traffic Accident Reconstruction Specialist Skills Performance Course

Course Description

This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive test of the skills learned throughout the series of courses within the Traffic Accident Reconstruction Specialist curriculum. Part I of the course is comprised of an examination which would consist of multiple-choice, true false and fill in questions drawn from GPA Traffic Accident Investigation/Reconstruction Training. Students must complete a comprehensive exam with a passing score of 80% or higher. Part II of the examination would be comprised of a performance test case and a series of questions relating to vehicle speed, and pre/post collision vehicle to vehicle and vehicle to roadway relationships.

Prerequisites

Candidates seeking to enroll in GPSTC's Traffic Accident Reconstruction Specialist program, which leads to POST certification as a traffic accident reconstruction specialist, MUST meet the following requirements:

Must have at least three years of experience as a law enforcement officer.
Successful completion of On-Scene Level 1 through Recon Level 5
Must wait 12-months after completing  Recon Level 5 to apply for this course.


Special Notes

Students who attend this course MUST bring a Non-programmable calculator, IPTM Blue Blitz traffic template, 360-dgree counter-clockwise protractor, and equation manual.
