Traffic Accident Reconstruction Level 2
Course Hours: 36.0 Hours
Course Description
Students attending this course will gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities to use basic trigonometric concepts to measure fall distances, as well as calculate the speeds of vehicles which fall, flip, vault or spin. The equation used for such calculations will be explained in-depth to include variations and the derivation. This course involves advanced mathematical calculations.
Prerequisites
On-Scene Traffic Accident Investigation Levels 1 and 2, Traffic Accident Reconstruction Level 1.
Special Notes
Students attending this course must bring the following items to class: IPTM Traffic Template, 360 degree (left hand orientation) protractor, flex curve, bow compass, and a scientific calculator. Students are encouraged to bring a laptop computer, with Microsoft PowerPoint, to class. Printed material will not be issued in class. Students must either print or download class materials to be allowed to attend.
