Course Description
This course will cover topics such as the searching for, collecting, and transporting latent print evidence. This course emphasizes various latent print processing techniques. This course is a prerequisite course for the Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Crime Scene Specialist Certification and for the POST Latent Print Examiner Certification.
Prerequisites
Participants must be law enforcement officers or personnel assigned to investigate crime scenes.

This course meets the requirements for POST Crime Scene Technician Certification and Latent Print Examiner Certification. Due to the sensitive nature of this material, this course is restricted to personnel employed by a public safety agency. Please print or download the manual and have it available for class.
