Judgmental Use of Force
Course Hours: 24.0 Hours
Course Description
This course uses an integrated system of video, laser, computer technology and live fire to place the officer in situations where the officer's judgment will be evaluated. This evaluation will be based on use of force statutes and case law so that officer's actions during use of force is within the confines of the law. Officers will interact in simulated scenarios requiring judgment and decision making regarding the drawing of a weapon and the use of force.
Prerequisites
Must be Certified and Sworn Law Enforcement.
Who Should Attend
Any local, state or federal law enforcement officer.
Special Notes
Students need to bring appropriate clothing for the season, hat with brim, eye/ear protection and their own duty weapons/duty gear to include body armor and flashlights.
