Gang Investigator Course
Course Hours: 40.0 Hours
This course is designed for law enforcement officers who may be involved in gang investigations. It is a formal introduction to techniques and trends of street level gangs, dealers, and couriers of illicit drugs. Topics include the 1998 Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, the history of gangs and their affiliates, asset forfeiture, surveillance techniques, and prosecution of gang members.
Students must be sworn law enforcement officers, correctional or jail officers, or other peace officers who are currently employed by an authorized public safety agency.

Printed material will not be issued in class. Students should either print or download class materials to be allowed to attend. Students are able to purchase a copy of the course materials from the Georgia Public Safety Training Center if they are unable to download the materials prior to the class.
