Drug Undercover Operations
Course Hours: 40.0 Hours
In the Drug Undercover Operations Course, students learn the skills they need to succeed when they plan, participate in, or act as a cover officer for undercover operations. Students participate in practical exercises that simulate undercover drug buys, vice operations, and agent rescues.
The student must have completed the five-hour online Use of Force and De-escalation Options for Gaining Compliance that is offered by the Georgia Public Safety Training Center, and High-Risk Warrant and Arrest Tactics or the equivalent.
Who Should Attend
This class is appropriate for investigators in units that conduct proactive investigations of ongoing criminal activity or officers who intend to apply for those units.
Students will participate in practical exercises every day. They should wear clothes suitable for undercover operations. Additionally, students should bring raid gear, including ballistic vests and holsters.
