Drug Recognition Expert Instructor Training School
Course Hours: 16.0 Hours
Course Description
This course is intended for public safety officers who have completed DRE training and have been recommended by the DRE State Coordinator. Applicants must be Georgia POST Instructor certified. Upon successful completion of this course, the DRE may deliver instruction in the Drug Recognition Expert training school.
Prerequisites
Currently certified IACP Drug Recognition Experts who hold a POST General Instructor certification.
Who Should Attend
Currently certified IACP Drug Recognition Experts who wish to assist as adjunct instructors in the DRE School.
Special Notes
DRE Instructors will be used in future DRE schools and assist with field certification training for the Georgia Police Academy.
