Concealed Carry Handgun
Course Hours: 24.0 Hours
This course is designed for officers who are charged with the responsibility of carrying a concealed weapon, but may also prove valuable to those authorized to carry a backup weapon on or off duty. Officers will go through numerous live fire drills engaging targets from various positions, distances, and attire. This class is focused around pistols that can be easily concealed therefore full-sized handguns will not be permitted. Compact and sub-compact handguns are required.
At the conclusion of training, officers will have a better understanding of how to draw and fire their compact or sub-compact handgun in time critical situations that include: standing positions, positions inside of a vehicle, and seated positions utilizing several different techniques to access their firearm from the techniques they have learned during this course.
Must be Certified and Sworn Law Enforcement.
Who Should Attend
Certified and sworn law enforcement personnel that carry a concealed handgun.
Officers are required to bring a compact or sub-compact handgun, a concealment hip carry holster, ankle holster, or other suitable concealment holster, extra magazines, magazine holders, clothing which conceals their weapon and personal range safety equipment. Officers also need to bring a concealable badge. Ammunition will be provided in .38 SPL., .380, 9MM, .40, and .45ACP.
